Why AI Technical Discovery matters
Leadership sets direction at strategy level, but the real opportunities live inside day-to-day team workflows that a leadership workshop cannot see from the top.
The best opportunities stay hidden
Team-level workflows reveal where people lose time reading, drafting, finding knowledge, routing work and checking against rules.
The loudest request wins
Without a consistent discovery and scoring method, AI projects can be chosen by novelty or influence rather than return.
Delivery starts without a plan
A ranked roadmap gives leaders a clear sequence for investment, ownership and the next delivery step.
How AI Technical Discovery works
A structured investigation that maps real work, assesses opportunity and readiness, then produces a ranked plan connected to your strategic direction.
Discovery interviews
Structured conversations with every team lead, and where useful their staff, to map real workflows, pain points and volume.
Opportunity mapping and scoring
Score each candidate use case against capacity, cycle time or risk reduction, effort, data readiness and AI work tier.
Prioritised delivery plan
Receive a ranked roadmap of initiatives, sequenced against your AI Strategy Roadmap and ready to hand to delivery, ours or yours.
What is included in AI Technical Discovery
The discovery goes beyond workshop ideas to examine the practical work, data and readiness of each team across your organisation.
Team-by-team discovery interviews
Map real workflows, operational pain points and the volume behind the work with the people closest to it.
Opportunity scoring
Assess every potential use case against measurable value, effort and practical readiness.
Work segmentation
Separate Everyday AI, Assisted Workflows and Autonomous AI so effort matches the work and adoption reality.
Readiness mapping
Map data, process and workflow readiness for each team before recommendations move into delivery.
Ranked delivery plan
Turn every candidate initiative into a prioritised plan with clear next steps and ownership.
Strategy alignment
Check every recommendation against your existing AI Strategy Roadmap so activity stays focused on agreed outcomes.
AI readiness starts with data clarity.
AI can surface the gaps in your data. Build confidence with clear ownership, secure access and a full understanding of the information your tools will use.

Adam Galfskiy
Head of AI
“AI doesn’t create your data problems, it exposes them. Many organisations have moved from a server in a cupboard to data spread across SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive, but without the same clarity over access, sensitivity or ownership. If businesses want to adopt AI with confidence, they first need to understand and control the data it will interact with.”

AI Technical Discovery FAQs
Clear answers for leadership teams deciding how to find and prioritise AI opportunities across the organisation.
How is this different from the AI Strategy Roadmap?
The Roadmap sets direction at leadership level in a day or two of workshops. Technical Discovery goes underneath that, team by team, to find and rank the specific opportunities that deliver it, so nothing gets missed just because it never came up in a leadership conversation.
Do we need a Strategy Roadmap first?
It helps but isn’t required. Discovery works best anchored to an agreed strategy, so initiatives get prioritised against goals leadership has already signed off, rather than department wish lists competing on volume alone.
Will you just tell us to buy more Microsoft licences?
Only if the numbers say it earns its cost back. Our approach is savings first, technology second: we look at what a workflow costs today and whether closing that gap is cheaper with people, process, or a tool. Licences do not win by default.
What do we get at the end?
A ranked, scored list of AI initiatives across every team, sequenced into a plan with clear ownership and next steps. Ready for Aura to build, for your own team to build, or a mix of both.
